Disneyland has also recently raised the price on these sabers by $10.00 if you've been watching them and have a chance grab the cheap auctions before their stock runs out.

This is a Star Wars Disneyland exclusive lightsaber. Although it is nearly identical to Hasbro's Ultimate FX series of lightsabers, this is not branded Hasbro, but rather branded official Disneyland Star Wars Merchandise (see the 4th picture for official Disney Branding). The handle is plastic, and the blade portion is 'initiate' length (24 inches). Including the handle it's about 35" long.  It has distinct sound effects for activation, deactivation, movement (it has a motion sensor of some kind) as well as contact and 'clash.' It also vibrates when you clash (press against another blade).

The main difference between this and the Ultimate FX Saber is that the blade is tinted a rich green for daytime play. It also lights up a gleaming green when lit. I think the green tinting is a significant improvement over the older Ultimate FX Hasbro blades which are pale white when they're off or when it's too bright to see the light. This green-tinted blade looks excellent in daylight and even better when the lights are out.  It also has the coveted 'extend' animation when activated and deactivated--it rolls on in sections in time with the 'ignition' sound effect rather than being lit all at once. 

This is a beautiful saber without an exorbitant cost, but please note that it is not as premium as its $250+, longer and all-metal big brother the Force FX saber.  This would be great to wield at the Star Wars premier or as a Christmas gift for an aspiring Jedi. It's suitable for light combat or practicing your blade twirling, but is not recommended for full-force combat between older Jedi Knights. It's exclusive to the Disneyland parks and in my opinion far better than Hasbro's current 'Blade Builder' series of lightsabers.
