Its purpose is to seal out moisture in the floor pans, caused by condensation created by heat and cold on the metal. This is very important to prevent rust and moisture stains in your carpet. The kit provides a barrier from heat and cold as well as exhaust and road noise. Easu to install, no glue required and no cutting. 
This kit is Dye cut to fit your floor pans just as the original insulation. It fits most areas that are under the carpet. This product is designed to be a barrier between the carpet and the floor pans. The sound deadener insulation helps to protect the carpet from the condensation on the metal floor pans, which stains carpet. Also this product helps to insulate against heat, cold and road noise. Carpet fits better and last longer.
