Seth Thomas HELMSMAN Ships Bell Brass Clock & Wood Wall Mount- Orig. Cond.

Offered here is a vintage brass ship's bell clock, the 'Helmsman' model 1052-001 by Seth Thomas.

It is in working condition and is affixed to a wooden shield shaped wall mount with shelf.

It is running well, keeping good time and chimes properly with the 4 hour watch schedule.

A winding key is included and this clock has an 8 day Hermle German movement.

There is no damage and the brass is in original condition with some expected patina which could be shined up if desired.

The 4" brushed metal dial face is clean and is marked with the Seth Thomas name and an indication of the German movement inside.

The glass is clear with no scratches.

Near the top of the face is the speed control and the chime silencing slider switch.

Oddly, the silencing control works opposite of the indicated direction.

The original foil paper tag is still affixed to the back.

Measurements are 8 1/2" across the ship's wheel and it is 3 1/4" deep.

The wood wall plaque is 15" high x 12 1/2" wide.
