This is one of many great vintage & antique items
we're currently listing from various estates. Please take
a look at our store categories and merchandise.
The large acrylic on canvas painting was found folded up and stored underneath a bed in one of the rooms. It is a large unstretched piece. Originally it would have been on stretcher bars measuring 47 x 47" square. The full canvas measurements are 51" wide x 52" tall.
We debated whether this might be a piece by Andy Wing but don't believe it is. We were also reminded of artists like Keith Haring and Basquiat while looking at the imagery ~ so perhaps this dates to the 1980s or early 1990s.
Shows an African American tribal-looking figure with other small colorful figures painted against a red, white, & blue background. Please examine photos as there is some paint loss along the areas where it was folded - plus some additional spots. It also shows some weathering - primarily on the backside of the canvas.
Restretched and with a few touch-ups, this would make a loud and impressive statement piece.
