Tall seated cat figurine, created by the Jema pottery works in Holland in the 1960's.
A rare find in this size, this piece is model number 613. Impressed with geometric symbols, and with a unique iridescent blue glaze to the face and feet. Furthermore, the cat has been sculpted as a money box, with a slit for coins in the back and a hole (with rubber stopper) to the base.
Fine vintage condition without chips or cracks.
Height is 56cm/22 inches. Base length is 18.5cm/7 1/4 inches. Body width is approximately 18cm/7 1/8 inches. Weight is 1825 grams.
